Freelance Transcriber
About the role
Dals is growing their team of Freelance Transcribers to support live remote transcription for essential sectors — healthcare, legal, public services, and community support. If you've got sharp listening skills and love working with English audio content, this could be a great fit. What you'll do: Provide live remote transcription for hearings via Microsoft Teams; Produce real-time, fully accurate verbatim transcripts; Deliver legal/hearing transcripts within a strict 5-working-day turnaround; Stay available for scheduled, often time-sensitive hearings; Handle recordings securely and GDPR-compliantly where required.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English (other languages a plus)
- Strong listening and comprehension skills
- Fast, accurate typing and high attention to detail
- Previous transcription experience is a plus
- Accreditations like BIVR, NCRA, or other court reporting/stenography qualifications are welcome
- Right to work required
